diy shrug

Hi folks! Here is my shrug that I made this week, I think it's super cute and hope you think so too!
Here is the original t-shirt:

First step: Lay the shirt out flat and cut up the front in the centre and cut off the collar

Second: Fold a one inch hem up the front and around the collar

Third: Sew all around the new opening the thread your ribbon through.

The Final Product

I stitched the ends shut to hold the ribbon in place so that the gathers wouldn't come out. I also stitched it in several places along the neckline to help hold the ribbon in place. 

I also made a super cute fabric flower to put on, but it was just to much with the big bow!
