Easter treats

Talk about cute! These nest cookies were the perfect treat for Easter. To make these all you need to do is melt one pack of chocolate chips (or butterscotch chips) with about 1 Tbsp. of margarine and add crunchy chow mein noodles until you get the right consistency. Then scoop our mixture onto wax paper and form a little well in the center. Add jelly beans or some other suitable candy to act as the 'eggs'. To make our table a little more festive I placed a paper doily on each plate with one nest on top. Fun and simple!

I also made a festive Easter bread by using frozen bread dough that you can buy at any grocery store. To make this, all you do is thaw out the bread dough, braid and form how ever you want it and then stick some dyed eggs into the folds. Note: Eggs need to be raw when you cook the bread. Then just bake according to the package instructions!

Hope you had a wonderful Easter, ours was filled with tasty treats and lots of time with family :)
