This week I took four thrifted polka dot place mats and sewed them onto strips of fabric to connect them and make a pretty new mat for our kitchen. The old one was looking pretty ragged and past it's prime. Here is the before and after:

It looks really nice! They looked good on the table too. Did you quilt it at all or is the mat just the placemat layers?
